Notice: New Chip-Embedded Passport Rollout

Dear compatriots ,

The Mission hereby announces that Ghana has officially rolled out the new chip-embedded passport! Here’s what you need to know:

• All passport printing is now centralized in Accra. The Embassy will still help process your application and take your biometric data, but completed applications will be sent to Accra for printing and then delivered to you through established channels.
• Payments for passport services are now fully online. You’ll pay directly on the centralized platform as part of your application-no more payments at the Embassy.
  
• If you started your application under the old system:
  
• Please complete it within 90 days.
• If you already have an appointment, just show up at the Passport Application Centre on your scheduled date for biometrics.
• Missed your appointment on April 28th or 29th, 2025? Visit your Passport Application Centre for further processing.
