1. Knowledge management:
– Manage the CTCN Knowledge Management System maintenance to facilitate the capture, storage, utilization, creation, and sharing of information and knowledge.
– Undertake the responsibility for establishing collaborations with other organizations on electronic-based, information management and knowledge sharing initiatives and projects.
– Manage the research, identification and on-boarding of potential knowledge tools, resources, and experiences for inclusion in the CTCN Knowledge Management System.
– Based on regular analysis of the nature of requests received by the CTCN through Nationally Designated Entities (NDEs), coordinate related activities for the shaping and content knowledge platform and other CTCN knowledge management tools/activities/services.
– Lead the development of CTCN climate change publications and briefs, including collaboration with various knowledge partners.
– Manage the work of consultants, partners, and sub-contractors, review intermediary outputs, documents, and reports, ensure the timely delivery of expected outputs, and effective synergy among the various sub-contracted activities.
2. Communication:
– Lead the development and implementation of the internal and external CTC Communication strategy
– Manage a consistent branding of the organization; undertake outreach activities; make presentations on assigned topics/activities.
– Oversee development and design of CTCN annual report, promotional materials, and presentation templates.
– Liaise with media and ensure outreach and promotion of the CTCN to the different stakeholder groups.
– Manage social media accounts and strategies as well as the photography and video production.
– Coordinate the organization of international events on a broad range of climate change and technology themes, including but not limited to UNFCCC Climate Change conferences.
– Facilitate the work of the CTCN Advisory Board in terms of planning its biannual meetings, preparing necessary documentation, and liaising with the UNFCCC Secretariat.
– Manage the work of consultants, partners, and sub-contractors, review intermediary outputs, documents, and reports, ensure the timely delivery of expected outputs, and effective synergy among the various sub-contracted activities.
3. Gender and youth engagement:
– Provide oversight on the development and implementation of the CTCN Gender Strategy and Action Plan
– Manage the implementation of the CTCN-YOUNGO (UNFCCC Youth Constituency) joint action plan.
– Organize activities and reporting with UNEP, UNFCCC and UNIDO gender and youth units as well as partnerships with the UNFCCC Women & Gender Constituency, YOUNGO, other relevant organizations.
– Facilitate the innovation and design thinking activities for gender, youth and other CTCN projects.
4. Resource mobilization, monitoring, and evaluation:
– Advise the CTCN Director in implementing the Centre’s resource mobilization strategy by conducting donor analysis and outreach.
– Provide input into and review of funding proposals and reports.
– Manage the implementation and updating of the CTC monitoring and evaluation system to ensure the gathering and reporting of relevant achievements and indicators.
– Manage the work of consultants, partners, and sub-contractors, review intermediary outputs, documents, and reports, ensure the timely delivery of expected outputs, and effective synergy among the various sub-contracted activities.
5. Network engagement:
– Oversee the review process of applications submitted by potential Network members to the CTC.
– Manage the CTCN webinar program by encouraging NDEs, Network members and others to propose and collaborate on regional and thematic webinars.
– Support the development of Network engagement strategies.
6. Perform other related duties and assignments as required by the Chief of the Division and Director of the CTCN.
