Enhancing Disaster Preparedness in Accra with Space Technology and AI

We are proud to highlight a significant initiative by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and partners, including the Commonwealth Secretariat, SpaceData Inc., Maxar Technologies, the Universities of Bonn and Tokyo, and the Government of Ghana. This project has developed a digital twin of Accra to simulate flood scenarios, leveraging artificial intelligence and Earth observation imagery.
