Honoured to have chaired the Thirty-Second Meeting of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (HONLEA), Africa on Tuesday, 7th October 2025.
Bringing together law enforcement leaders from across the African continent, this critical forum addressed the evolving challenges of drug trafficking and substance abuse that affect our communities. The discussions reinforced the importance of regional cooperation, intelligence sharing, and coordinated action in combating transnational organized crime.
As Ghana’s Ambassador to Austria, it is a privilege to contribute to strengthening the partnerships between African nations and international bodies in Vienna. The work we do through platforms like HONLEA is essential to protecting our youth, disrupting criminal networks, and building safer societies across Africa.
I thank all participating delegations for their commitment and constructive engagement. Together, we are making meaningful progress in addressing one of the most pressing security challenges of our time.
