Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the President of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC Fund for International Development), Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa.
The Ambassador, H.E. Matilda Alomatu Osei-Agyeman, was warmly received earlier this year by the President of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC Fund for International Development), Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa. She was accompanied by the Counsellor at the Embassy, Ms. Lauretta Samira Saaka.
The Ambassador’s interaction with Dr. Alkhalifa and his team led to sharing insights on the various initiatives that the OPEC Fund undertakes, by providing finance, technical assistance, knowledge sharing, among other initiatives, across the world, particularly in Africa, aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Ambassador took the opportunity to shed light on Ghana’s accomplishments at the macroeconomic and political levels and called for the deepening of the cordial relations that exist between Ghana and the OPEC Fund in specific areas, starting with a high-level visit to Ghana by the President, Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa.
